Why vintage Paul Newman only improves with age

Best-selling author Leon Uris has been criticized for churning out stereotypical characters, writing comic book dialogue and has even been slammed for using too many exclamation points.

But his books kick ass.

Even ask Barack Obama, who reportedly considers “Exodus” one of his favorite novels. Not to be confused with Barak Ben Canaan, the David Ben Gurion-esque patriarch of the story.

The 1960 movie’s playing again at the Jerusalem Film Festival this summer.

Here’s why the film and Newman’s Ari Ben Canaan just get better with age.
