As a travel junkie who sees the world vicariously through others, I’m thrilled to contribute my first written story to the Travel Channel.

They probably don’t remember, but I also field produced for their “World’s Best Bathrooms” TV special a few years back with Award Productions.

That shoot involved standing in a Seabourne cruise ship bathroom with cameraman Peter Koziell, and flushing the toilet while he captured the action from different angles.  We also hovered over a local supermodel as she covered herself with rose petals in the bathtub and pretended to be immersed in luxury (the bubble bath covered her swimsuit).  Shockingly, our efforts were NOT recognized with an Emmy.

This TravelChannel.com piece on One Run For Boston, a cross-country journey to help terrorism victims, is far more meaningful.  Check it out — and it’s not too late to donate!
